Where to Rock Crawl Around Bozeman

If you have recently purchased a Toyota Tacoma, or Toyota 4Runner, from Ressler Motors or Toyota of Bozeman, then you may be wondering where you can rock crawl around Bozeman. We are so incredibly lucky to live in the Gallatin Valley. With so many outdoor opportunities, and an abundance of trails and rugged terrain, taking full advantage of your off-road vehicle is easy! We aren’t suggesting climbing the Bridger Mountains with your 4×4, but you’ll be pretty impressed by what is available to you in our area.

Flathead Pass

A favorite place to rock crawl among the locals of Bozeman is Flathead Pass. From Bozeman, you’ll head north on Springhill Road for roughly 11 miles. You’ll see signs for Flathead Pass that’ll lead you up the rugged Jeep trails of the north Bridger Mountains. This fun trail is not only a test for your Toyota Tacoma, but will offer amazing views of the Gallatin Valley and Shields Valley.

Corbly Gulch

Follow Bridger Canyon Road north to Corbly Gulch and you’ll find a difficult but worthwhile trail for your off-road vehicle. This road is an old Forest Service route that has not been maintained, which means it will be a fun challenge! At the end of the road is a beautiful hiking trail, so make sure you take a long afternoon to enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Johnson Canyon

North of I-90 off Springhill Road is another fantastic place to rock crawl around Bozeman. Johnson Canyon is a rugged road that will provide amazing views of the Gallatin Valley and a good opportunity to test out your vehicle’s capabilities. This trail is also a fantastic option for those that don’t want to drive too far from town to experience some time outdoors. If you still need a Toyota Tacoma or a Toyota 4Runner, come see us at Ressler Motors today!
