We emphasize that car shopping at Ressler Motors is easy because of our best price system, which makes car shopping like going to the grocery store. You see how much the car is, it’s posted right in the window, and it’s going to be the same when you check out. However, when you go to a car dealership that doesn’t do this you may end up spending hours and hours trying to outwit your salesperson, but you might still end up at the same price. Or did you?
Have you analyzed how much time you have spent researching this car, and then the time you spend at the dealership? If you haven’t, you should probably start.
First off, what is your time worth to you? $10 per hour? $20 per hour? $50? $100? Well, give yourself a value for your time, and we’ll move on.
——————————————
Let’s say you consider your time to be worth $50 per hour.
You spend about 18 Hours researching your options and reviews about cars.
So: 18 Hours X $50 = $900.00
That means that you have already spent $900 of your time deciding on which vehicles you want to test drive. You did this by talking to friends and family, looking at the newspaper and looking around online.
——————————————–
The next step is you walking onto the car dealership. You will spend about 45 minutes to 1 hour checking out each vehicle you were interested in (test driving, moving seats, etc.), and you were probably interested in three or more cars.
So: 3 Hours X $50 = $150.00
You just spent another $150.00 worth of your time trying to figure out what features you were really interested in, which brings your total up to $1050.00.
———————————————–
The next step is the haggling/financing step. This is where you can really feel like you wasted time. Let’s say that you spend three hours haggling the price, which is quite common, another two hours in finance, again, very common, and had to wait another hour because you decided to get a clear bra. That’s an additional six hours.
So: 6 Hours X $50 = $300.00
————————————————
You spend another $300 of your time to save about another $1000.00 on your car. That seems worth it right? Well, let’s look at this if you worked with Ressler.
Right at the beginning of your research phase you could have called Ressler Motors and told them what you were looking to do. They would have looked into it providing you with some clear directions on which vehicles to look at. This would take less than 1 hour for the two calls (Your question is the first call, and their answer is the second call). However, this cuts your research time in half. You now know which vehicles to look at, and you can focus on just those.
————————————————-
So: 1 Hour (Talking to Ressler + 8 Hours of research = 9 Hours
Meaning: 9 Hours x $50 = $450
That means you have already saved $450 dollars on your car.
—————————————————
Of course, you are going to have to spend the three hours test driving the vehicles you were ultimately interested in, so you aren’t going to save time here.
So: 3 Hours x $50 = $150
Bringing your total up to $600 (Still far below what you would have spend otherwise)
—————————————————
The next part is where Ressler Motors excels. Since Ressler Motors is a best price dealership, meaning you don’t have to haggle, you get to save three hours right away. Also, Ressler Motors would have asked for you to fill out a finance application online before you came in, which is counted in your research phase, so you get to save another hour there. That still leaves you about 1 hour to fill out all the paperwork and talk to the finance manager about different options and warranties.
So: 1 hour X $50 = $50
That means that your total time spend using Ressler Motors is only about $650, which is more than half the cost of utilizing a different car dealership that requires you to a) haggle for your price b) won’t go the extra mile to help you and c) will try to leave you at the mercy of the finance manager to get more money out of you.
Put this on top of the fact that Ressler Motors has extremely competitive prices, usually far below what other car dealership offer, and the saving should just jump off the screen. So, stop buying cars in the old system for car dealerships, and start buying the new way with the best price option at Ressler Motors, the Bozeman Toyota dealer and Chevrolet dealer.

- What a vehicle history report really means:
- Through a magnificent advertising campaign vehicle history reports have become all the rage for car buyers. They think that by checking the history of the vehicle they will be able to avoid major car problems. Sadly, it doesn’t work that way. The best way to avoid major car problems is buying from a car dealership that you know looks over there vehicles really well, or by bringing the vehicle to your normal mechanic to see what he says because a history report is just a piece of paper unless it’s verified by a professional.
- What the car is worth:
- Most people prepare for battle when they head to a car dealership because they know they are about to spend hours and hours debating the price of their vehicle. In fact, that’s where the shady reputation of car dealerships came from. Luckily car dealerships realized the error in their ways, and have since become much easier to work with. In the case that they aren’t working with you, there are plenty of resources online to find the invoice price of your vehicle, and then be able to compare it to other car dealerships.
- Concentrate on what you are paying as a whole, not just by month:
- As a society we focus on what our monthly budget is. We want to know how much we are paying each month, and can tend to lose track of what’s happening as a whole. However, when you come up to big purchases like houses and cars you need to start thinking that way. There are dealerships out there that will hide a higher interest rate in lower monthly payments, but these are getting few and far between.
- MSRP is just the suggested retail price:
- When a car manufacturer sends its cars out to different car dealerships, such as a Toyota dealer or Chevrolet dealer, it gives the dealership two separate prices. One is the invoice price, or what the dealership is charged, and the other is the Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). This number comes from the manufacturer’s computer system as the likely price someone will pay for a vehicle. So, many car dealerships take this as their posted price, and use this as their working price. However, the internet has provided people with a valuable resource for finding invoice prices. Now, the prices on Edmunds.com may not be exact, but they are darn close, and they give you a great bargaining point when you talk to a car dealership.
- Car Dealership Financing is usually your best option:
- Now, I do work at a car dealership, so you may consider me biased, but look into the numbers. No bank is going to offer you 0% financing without a car dealership’s help, and they typically can’t touch what car dealerships can get without certain incentives. Car dealerships, like the Bozeman Toyota Dealer and Chevrolet Dealer, have worked out how they are going to offer financing, and they do so at extremely competitive rates.

Just for starters, Ressler Motors, both the Toyota dealer and Chevrolet dealer, had a fantastic Memorial Day weekend! The stories were flying around our Bozeman car dealership from customers to salespeople, and vice versa, and everyone was having a good time! And why wouldn’t they? It was a long weekend, and it’s starting to get really nice in Bozeman… Finally! Of course, coming back to work on Tuesday was supposed to be a taxing, but I came in with some great news! Ressler Motors was voted the best car dealer in Bozeman by the Bozone Alternative Newspaper! This was great to hear after a rainy month, which tends to slow down car sales. In fact, I would have to say we were all beaming with a little pride. It’s one thing to get great reviews through our surveys, and another to hear it from happy customers, but to be voted into the position by the great city of Bozeman is fantastic! Thank you all for supporting our Toyota Dealer and Chevrolet dealers, our auto repair facilities, our Bozeman car rental facility and our Quick Lube! It means a lot to hear it from you, the people of Bozeman. We will definitely do our best to continue our reputation, and hopefully things just get better for all of us!

It’s understandable to think that heading to craigslist, AutoTrader and CarsForSale.com is the best way to find a used car in your area. However, what happened to the good old fashioned way of heading to your local, trustworthy car dealership and seeing what used cars they had in stock? Of course most car dealerships put their used cars on these websites now days, but each of these websites get to control how you surf their used car pages, and they get to pick the order in which you see the used cars.
That’s fine, and all, but what if you happen to miss out on the used car, or possibly used cars, you were looking for because they were pushed so far down the page? Well, Ressler Motors is here to help. We have a huge selection of used cars in Bozeman and Belgrade for you to choose from. See our selection of used Toyota cars, used Chevrolet cars, used Cadillac cars as well as many other makes and models of used cars!
Of course, you may be wondering why you would buy from a dealership instead of from someone down the street. That comes down to quality. I’m not saying that the person down the street hasn’t take care of his/her used car, but when is the last time they had a mechanic really go through their used car and make sure nothing is wrong? Then there is the cleanliness factor for the used car. Ressler Motors is known for producing very clean used cars in Bozeman, which is why the detailing department gets such a large space at Ressler Motors.
Along with the quality of our used cars, Ressler Motors allows you to test drive several cars in a short period of time. You don’t have to arrange a meeting time with twelve different people, who you hope are on time, so you can test drive a used car that you saw on any of these other websites; you just have to drive down to Ressler Motors, or Ressler of Belgrade, and test drive one used car after another. Less waiting, less hassle and then you get to save time since Ressler Motors is already offering you the best price they can on your used car!
Sounds pretty simple to me; you can either spend a bunch of time arranging to meet up with some strangers, or head down to Ressler Motors and pick your used car out after you test drive it and several others.

After hearing about the need for support for Whitehall, and their national qualifying rodeo event, Ressler Motors has stepped in to expand their advertising budget.
After hearing the story from Whitehall, local CBS affiliate KBZK decided that they needed to help Whitehall with their advertising. However, advertising isn’t completely free with all the production costs. So, KBZK contacted Ressler Motors to see if they would be interested in helping support the Whitehall Rodeo this year, and help make the event much larger than it would have been without the expanded advertising budget. We gladly agreed to help the city of Whitehall make this rodeo a big event, with the help of Chevrolet. Now it’s up to you to help the city of Whitehall, and experience a National Qualifying Rodeo with all the Rodeo stars to spare!
